Message: <blockquote data-quote="wingsandsword" data-source="post: 2524307" data-attributes="member: 14159">We don't know what editing, special effects, or scenes may be left out of that cut, it was clearly never meant to be viewed in that state.  Also, just a one-sentence statement like that doesn't exactly say what is wrong with the movie.  The first movie had some serious problems with being a movie about D&D that we know are fixed in the second one.  While most gamers generally agree that the first D&D movie was a stinker, some movies that are widely hated by many are loved by others (look at the Star Wars prequels, loved by some, utterly hated by others).  This leaked version is almost certainly unfinished, and rough cuts don't look good or sound good, they aren't complete for a reason, if you saw an unfinished cut of even a "good" movie you may well think it's terrible without proper editing, sound effects, visual effects, and other postproduction.  At Gen Con last week they said the movie was still in postproduction, and they could only estimate the length of the movie, so doubtless there are other things that are incomplete.So, I'm not passing judgement based on any almost certainly incomplete leaked version floating around on the internet, I'll wait until the premier on Sci-Fi Channel on October 8th.  If it's a stinker or a hit, we'll be talking about it here one way or the other.</blockquote>
