Since 1h weapons don't get the double power attack bonus the difference between monkey grip and power attack is narrowed.  But Statistically monkey grip isn't that great, unless maybe you also have quick draw and can quickly switch to another more accurate weapon.  But now you've spent 2 feats on something that only takes you one feat with power attack. The other advantage is if someone casts Enlarge on you, you are now wielding a Huge weapon (but i don't think the PHB provides dice for huge weapons).</p></blockquote><p></p>
