He has black hair and a plaited beard tucked into his belt.</p><p></p><p><strong>History:</strong></p><p></p><p>Kylest (formerly of the Rockaxe clan) was still a young dwarf when he realized that the chances for advancement amongst his small, parochial settlement were minimal at best. It would be decades before he was recognized as an elder, but he already knew he was smarter than the majority of his clan. All he had to look forward to was years of serving as a guard at the bottom of a dark tunnel, where nobody would ever see his deeds. He set out from his clan for the nearest human town. It wasn't much larger than a village, but there was a traveling gladiator troupe putting on a show. </p><p></p><p>Kylest watched a few fights and saw the crowd's reaction to the warriors. Before the day was out he had joined the traveling stable. Over the next few years he grew a reputation for being a fierce combatant, and for carrying a ridiculously large blade that he had taken from an orge that he had defeated early in his career. Eventually the troupe moved on to larger cities and Kylest was noticed by a representative of the Acer stable. He was approached and quickly switched allegiences seeing the chance for an even greater future in the city of Tarn.</p><p></p><p></p><p><strong>Personality:</strong></p><p></p><p>Kylest is fiercely driven by a desire to be better than he is. He is using the gladiatorial combat as a means to acheive that goal. He doesn't fight just for the joy of it (although he does find it thrilling) nor does he fight to satisfy a blood lust. He fights in order to build a reputation large enough to allow him to move up in the world. He is always kind and polite to his fellow warriors outside of combat, never picking fights or causing trouble. He has a soft spot for the underdog and will often do whatever he can in order to help out gladiators just starting out in their careers, giving them pointers or training.</p></blockquote><p></p>
