Dungeons & Dragons at Meltdown Comics
Format: We run a "D&D Night" at a popular comics store in the middle of Hollywood. We are a bunch of fun-loving guys and gals, with both weekly regulars and very welcome drop-ins. We're always looking for new players to join us, or even DMs who want to bring their game to a great location.
Location: Meltdown Comics, 7522 Sunset Blvd. Los Angeles, CA.
Time: Thursday nights. We gather between 5 and 6 PM and play until about 9:30 or 10.
Cost: The store where we play has an events gallery that we rent for our nights. For most games our organizers do ask that players pitch in $5 to keep the event going. Eventually, we want to make this a full-blown event once the volume of players increases. Come hear about our ideas.
Games played: Right now, we have two tables running 4th Edition D&D. I DM an Eberron game and our other DM runs a homebrew setting. Our players come from a wide background of gaming (past editions of D&D as well as Dark Heresy, GURPS, Rifts, World of Darkness, and more) and we welcome new games to start up once there are enough players for them.
What do I need? If you make your own character before you come in, that's perfect. If you want some help making a character, or if you're brand-new to the game, we can help you with everything you'll need, especially if you come early.
