I love X-Wing, but rarely find the time to play any more. I love Wings of War (the game on which X-Wing is based), but haven't played it in a long time. I think the mechanics of these games work great for planes and spaceships, but I can't get excited about Attack Wing: D&D. I don't see myself buying it.

There's no way that WotC is going to be allowing WizKids (or, say, B&N, or any other partner) to announce things about D&D Next for them.

I think a lot of the minis look cool, but I'm not so sure I'd purchase them. I don't think the concept is necessarily bad; however, it's (I believe) a more significant investment than previous D&D mini games at a time when the track record for D&D mini-battle games isn't great.
Note: I'm not saying the game is expensive; the price point is on par with other Attack Wing games.
Note 2: I'm also not saying that I personally felt the previous mini games were bad games. They simply didn't seem to go anywhere or be supported very. A prime example is Dungeon Command; I feel like it stopped being supported the day after it was released. This is especially troublesome when looking at a game which requires more of an investment.

It may be a good game, but it's a very strange name. The terms "D&D" and "Attack Wing" don't mean anything to me when pushed together, because "Attack Wing" isn't a D&D term. If this is a game of aerial combat in D&D, or dragon combat, it needs something more descriptive or evocative. "D&D: Dragonfire" or something would suffice.
X-Wing I could envision from the name. (Neat game, but one I haven't purchased -- too big of a buy-in required for a reasonably-sized battle that wouldn't get enough playtime to justify the investment. Nice models, though.)

I'm all about it. I love pre-painted miniatures games from the D&D line. They've done great work in recent years with Dungeon Command and the D&D miniatures line a few years ago. I miss that stuff so this is welcome for me. Any new side shot type D&D games are a peasantry for me.
