May 22th - 25th

RPGA is hosting a huge amount of 4e D&D Events. There is a bunch of other RPG stuff happening too. Most importantly, I am running an All-Day Mega-Dungeon event using OD&D.

Title: 'Kicking It Olde School'
Game System: 'Original Dungeons & Dragons'
Time: Saturday 10am to Midnight (and beyond!)
Description: 'Ever wonder what playing D&D with Gygax and Arneson was like in the disco 70s when huge groups of adventurers delved into mega-dungeons all day and deep into the night? We start our Epic Campaign at 10am and keep throwing dice until midnight (and maybe later!) Up to 12 players can join for a few hours or stay all day! Google "Swords & Wizardry: White Box" for a free copy of the original rules!'

BTW, Friday May 8th at 5pm PST is the end of the discount hotel registration for $99. Its a special rate because the Sheraton is a 4-star hotel and quite attractive. If you bring 3 buds, that's $25/per night!

What looked most interesting to me was the Gamex Interactive "Non-sanctioned" LFR event. I'd love to be there but I am running the MM2 gameday event at the FLGS in Pasadena and can't really get away the rest of the weekend due to spousal integrity.

Monday is spousal integrity day. Be there for the Interactive. It was the most talked about RPGA event of OrcCon and it was a huge success.

Kubla is a great con. No question about that. It was my go-to event when I lived in NorCal.

Between Kubla and Gamex, every Cali gamer should be tossing dice come Memorial Day Weekend.
