I agree. Some things Wizards/other gaming companies (since we seem to keep mentioning Wizards) can do:

Keep working to improve material and get as many different eyes on the total material as possible, not just the sections they feel might toe a line.
Be proactive policing their boards and places they have a reach - Youtube, etc. Be proactive and quicker about throwing a flag on offensive tweets (this is a step maybe they can give us a way to directly contact Wizards to address something post-haste, while also having a system to stop them from being inundated with the same comment flagged multiple times)
Keep active communication going like this summit.
Some things I feel we as a community, or as content creators, can do (if we believe we are a community, and not existing as consumers of a service industry)

Find a way to attempt to minimize any vitriol communicating with these publishers. NOTE: this goes both ways
Try, when possible, to assume positive intent. Not every time they said 'We didn't think about that and we'll have to get back to you' was a dodge - not all discussions, like the mental health help, probably were foreseen (I doubt they have a Palantir in Seattle)
Help our creators by peer pressuring the more foul presences off of our spaces.
In cases of doxxing, of threats, of harassment - GET OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT INVOLVED. People are going to prison now for swatting and attempted swatting. And if the cops won't do it, WORK ON GETTING LAWS CHANGED. In this regard, anything we do to protect our community online should only have a net benefit for the online world in total, correct?
