Some are freelancers, some are contractors. Some don't know the resources you claim everyone knows and therefore would be useless to share. If the people being paid are saying "we'd appreciate this" and you say that thing is useless because everyone already knows about it you are clearly in the wrong. Neither myself nor Jenn have suggested that Wizards has a contractual obligation. But, just as you are not required to offer a plumber water, you are still allowed to offer them water. I would even go so far as to suggest that it is morally responsible to offer the non-legally-required water on a day when it is dangerous to work. Wizards can choose to offer the resources that you listed and dismissed as already known while the people doing the work have said that they don't know of them, or not. The moral and ethical thing to do is offer those limited and small resources. They should also change to contract companies that offer benefits. The offer letter I signed with Wizards was with a company that had no benefits. I negotiated a higher wage because I needed to have some level of insurance. This is a reasonable ask for their few contract workers. Finally, Wizards can and should point out when bad behavior is trending. They can even take the steps to ban those people from their digital platforms as some of the video game companies do. All of these things are done by other businesses ranging from those worth much more than Hasbro to those worth much less. Small tiny improvements to contractor and freelancer treatment are good for us, the fan, because it means that the people who produce things we enjoy are more likely to continue to do so
