D&D Espionage - Looking for suggestions

Hello all,

Right now I'm preparing to run a campaign. The intent is to have elements of espionage (ala James Bond, the Avengers) and pulp heroes (the Shadow, Doc Savage) in a fantasy/D&D setting.

I'm tweaking some of the spells and rules to better give the atmosphere I want. For example, Resurrection-type spells will be very limited in availability & detecting alignment will be near impossible.

What I'm looking for right now is some adventures to adapt. The game will be somewhat unstructured & I may need some quick adventures to plug in. I already have a couple of James Bond & Top Secret:SI modules that fill several possible roles in the campaign.

What I'm looking for now is some D&D adventures that would work well in this flavor of adventure or can be adapted to it. Levels won't usually matter, I'm mostly looking for plots, plot kernels & NPCs.

Any suggestions for specific adventures? Free online adventures or inexpensive ESDs would be particularly appreciated (although not necessary).

A really good starting adventure is "Three Days to Kill" from Penumbra. It's a black-ops type adventure. They even go so far as to provide tools common to a modern special ops team (eg nightvision, binoculars, etc) but as magic items. Plus it's got elements of spying, tactics, information gathering, combat--the works. It was the first 3E adventure I DMed and it was a huge hit. Plus it will probably give you some ideas for adapting contemporary styles to a fantasy setting.

I am working on an intrigue adventure for first level characters. It took my group four months to complete it. I am looking at publication for it and need play testers, if you're interested please email me at drstupid@ptd.net.
