D&D has been officially wikified!

Wikipedia just made D&D it's featured article of the day - half an hour ago, actually. Here's the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dungeons_&_Dragons

I don't know when the article reached featured status, but it certainly wasn't today; usually an article reaches featured status long before it gets featured on the main page. Since it's featured, there's probably little that needs editing, but if anyone wanted to make some good edits to the wikipedia D&D page, now is a good time to do so.

The only problem I have with the article is that the image of a 'D&D game in progress' is a shot of the battlemat with some minis. Only yesterday I was talking to someone about D&D and they were insisting it was a board game; I was trying to convince them otherwise before I realised they were actually talking about someone who had been using Tact-Tiles.

Trouble is, just how do you take a shot of D&D without it looking like that?

You add the picture of a gaming table. I wonder whether I should attempt that edit on Wikipedia...

Indeed, open rolls for the win.

I think I know the reason for the mini oriented picture on the Wikipedia page now. All other pictures caused edit wars! :)

Terrific picture! Go ahead and add it in. You can play with the article in a sandbox before committing anything.

Darn I've been playing D&D wrong all these years, I've never used a old kettle or slices of melon.

My group houseruled the kettle and slices of melon. Biscuits and cakes are sort of mandatory at our table.
