Hehe, it's surprisingly addictive, yeah :) Back with the Indev version (because the game is still in Alpha stage of development, so new things are added all the time, although pre-purchase is possible) I'd just dig into mountains and think "Huh. Doesn't this remind me of dwarfs". I have a confession to make though. I've played it for several hours, um... without making any tools. Still "mined" iron, though. And, yeah - it's better if you actually get some ore out of the business :P Then again, you can plant lot's of trees, and cut them down if they don't grow as big ones, until you can build Elven City on the treetops. Or just roam around as a hunter gatherer, watching out for the damn creepers (Creeper on a high cliff you're walking below? Scary.) It's like Lego meets Sims - the Hunter Gatherers, and meshes it with mechanical devices. And trains :) I dig almost exclusively with stone tools, just to save all the metal I can, for cart tracks :) BTW - they do plan a Dungeons and Levers mode, although it might join the game in late Beta. It's context is dubiously described: Toodledo : Public To-Do List for Notch
