I am not currently playing 5E. 5e24 just doesn't offer the same as when someone use 5.5E The latter is way more familiar to me and it brings me more implied information. Based upon decades of playing D&D putting a .5 behind of a edition immediately tells me what to expect and what we are talking about. The 24 is something I will probably forget as I don't member the dates when editions were released. I don't remember that with any game. I struggle to remember the release dates of the two Hexxen 1733 editions. And this is a game I wrote stuff for.
