[title]New Character Builder Goes Live[/title]

In case you didn't already know, the new (online only) official character builder has gone live. Response to it has been varied, to say the least, but trending towards the negative with some technical issues which reportedly has it crashing from time to time during the process. Hopefully these are issues which will be sorted out soon; and some of it may be due to everyone rushing to try it out all at once. It's probably worth checking back in a week or so.

I assume that more features will be added in the coming weeks - at present you don't seem to be able to use custom portraits or add house rules, and it doesn't show the numerical breakdown of calculated values. There's a list of known issues, so if you're experiencing a problem on that list you can probably expect it to be resolved soonish. There's also this compiled list on the official forums.

For those who can't access it due to technical issues, or not being a DDI subscriber, I've taken a few screenshots of the first few screens when initially creating a character so that you can get an idea of what it looks like.

[title]Thread Necromancy: Worst TSR Module Ever[/title]

Resurrecting old threads can be fun! This thread from 2005 takes a look at some really bad adventure writing - from none other than TSR itself! The style of writing is best parodied by Simplicity in post #14:
A group of men head by. They are not tarrying or running. Nor are they singing. They don't seem to be making apple pies. As far as you can tell, they're not talking about sports. They neither have sombreros nor stilts. These men are not acrobats. They have no expression as they don't dally to the west.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
