WotC actually did a lot of cross promotion and tie-in products for the 2000 D&D movie, and we all know how that went . . . And, trying to align a TTRPG release to a movie that might have its release date shifted at any time is difficult.For the Baldur's Gate 3 video game . . . that game was delayed significantly, and "Descent into Avernus" actually was the tie-in product! Plus again, how successful the game ended up being surprised everybody at Larian and WotC.For Stranger Things Season 5 . . . this season has been in development for a long time with a solid release date for this fall, and it's the culminating season of an already very popular show. This I'm sure was a lot easier to coordinate a TTRPG product release for. And with how well Stranger Things has treated D&D, a no-brainer for a tie-in product.</blockquote>
