Michael tried to spot some insignia, but wasn't able to tell which one of the three warriors was in charge. He decided to simply speak to the one who had spoken, which was the one who was standing when Hulgyr surpised them all.At least one of the soldiers cocked his head in what seemed like a good imitation of a dog trying to understand something unfamiliar.OoC: It's a regular round, soo...I'll assume Michael takes a 5' step to ensure all the soldiers are in range, and with a little concentration, the spell-like ability is invoked. IC: The soldier whom Michael addressed relaxed some, releasing his spear with one hand and resting its butt on the ground with the other. The other two seemed unaffected; the one brandishing a spear took a step backward and the one with the psicrystal finally fumbled around and picked up his spear, holding it awkwardly with one hand with the cloak (and Ironwolf's psicrystal) in the other. The one resting his spear on the ground spoke again: "Sent by who?", he asked in puzzlement. Realizing that Michael meant that he was sent by his god, the soldier chuckled. "Oh, I don't know if that'll be good enough. We're not supposed to let anyone through without a pass from the Cap'n down in Kinthriver." His companions shot him nervous glances, which he returned with a look that said, "don't worry, they're harmless."[sblock=Rystil Arden]Ok, I didn't think this would matter, but I hadn't realized that Swarm of Crystals affected a 15' cone.
