The Stonepike Mountains OoC: I think we're actually reaching a resolution! Round 7[sblock=Michael, Hulgyr, Zaeryl, Eternity, Almayce: ]- Michael shouted instructions and ran for the woods. The downed soldier was badly burned and in need of medical attention. Michael decided that Sela's healing gifts might be used wisely here, and headed in his direction. - Michael decided to see if he could fix the one soldier's boo-boos. Hulgyr grabbed the cloak with Ironwolf's psicrystal, and made for the forest. The psicrystal, sensing that an escape opportunity might be present, started struggling within the folds of cloth. As he entered the woods, he saw all his comrades with the two remaining soldiers: one still standing, the other laying on the forest floor. (Map below, just before Private Squatter's movement) - Hulgyr grabbed the soldier's cloak (and Ironwolf's rock), and ran for the woods. Zaeryl launched another blast at Private Squatter, but in his haste he failed to aim his powers properly. The soldier saw clearly that he had narrowly cheated death, and decided to make a run for it. His eyes darted in the direction of the path, and he saw that he'd have to run a gauntlet of adventurers to make his escape that way. He bolted to the other side of Zaeryl, passing between Zaeryl and his fallen cohort. "Sorry, Corporal!", he cried, his voice laden with regret as he raced past "Stander's" prone form. Corporal? Zaeryl wryly observed that this was an unusual way to achieve a promotion. He found the Fallonese army and its customs strange. - Zaeryl tried to play another mean trick on the soldier, but it didn't work this time. - The soldier didn't like playing with Zaeryl and went crying for his Mommy. OoC: Zaeryl, do you have a weapon in hand? If so, you get an AoO on the departing Private(?) Squatter.
