D100 Character concepts

Moe Ronalds

First Post
I was inspired by the d100 (or, 500 now) adventure ideas to post something for the player-side of the table.

Just post an interesting, simple character concept in a few words, sentences, paragraphs, or whatever length you prefer.

To get the ball rolling...

1) The Mime- A mute spell caster with silent spell. Spells range from force effects "I'm in a box. No, really, I'm in an invisible box!" to illusions, to anything else the Mime can make you picture with his hands.

You totally stole the idea I had for a character a while back.

Oh well...

2) A cavalier who rides a trained Rhinoceros. Think sort of Donkey Kong Country.

a halfling paladin whose paladin mount is a mule called monk....
(because the mule has a wicked side-kick)

Here's an original: An elvish archer! :D

Oh, that's been done before, has it? :(

Then how about:

4) An utterly, utterly wuzzy wizard; collects butterflies, reads soppy poetry and writes home to mommy every week?

5) An adventuring halfling chef? Travels in a cart pulled by two milk cows. On the back of the cart he has bags of flour, sugar, salt and herbs, plus a few chickens (for the eggs).

A bard with a severe case of writer's block.

"The Brave Sir John slashed at the slimy Orc...Hey does anybody know what rhymes with Orc?"

9) The cynical paladin. Probably a middle-aged guy, who has been fighting the good fight long enough to know that it is a fight he can never really win. The problem with the world is not the evil in it, but the apathy which most people have. He drowns his disillusion in drink, womanizes a bit, and regularly makes predictions of doom and gloom. At the same time, he still continues to fight the good fight, simply because it is the right thing to do, not because he hopes to do any lasting good.

You mind if I submit a few?

10) A half-ogre fighter who enjoys the business side of adventuring. "So yer wants us to save da princess, eh? Well, if yer'll sign this 'ere contract, we'll set yer up with a full dungeon crawl plan, which includes der prices of possible mental and physical restablisments."

11) A zombie (or undead) Paladin. Sure, he was killed in his conquest... but that doesn't mean he can't keep fighting!

12) A barbarian that is possessed by a demon, placed within him through a ritual or contract. When he rages, the demon partially takes over. Uncanny dodge can be described as the demon watching out for him and warning him.
