[QUOTE="nothing to see here, post: 1650040, member: 16432"] Between PDF's and print -- I own about 45 odd books...Rather than break down in depth...here are the 5 favourie and 5 least favourite among the non-core (PHB, DMG, MM excluded) 5 faves (in hindsight would have paid even more for them0: 1) Fields of Blood (Eden) -- scratched an itch that was building for two years -- realm management and mass battles doen (largely) right. 2) Dynasties and Demagogues (Atlas) -- incredible supplement for adding mechanical depth to political and non-combat centered adventures. 3) Arcana Unearthed (Malhavoc) -- A rare treat that embodies all that's good about the OGL -- one of the D&D's core designers - taking the building blocks of the rule system -- and creating an alternate - yet compatible set of rules that really tweaks the imagination. 4) Unearthed Arcana (WOTC) -- the one product where the WOTC in house designers really had a chance to strut their stuff -- I only use a few of the variants -- but the number will grow over time. 5) Oathbound (Bastion) -- my favourite game setting. Compelling setting -- with interesting mechanics and back story -- yet compatible with almost any other setting.. My least faves (feel my money was wasted): 1) Cry Havoc (malhavoc) -- major dissapointment that didn't scratch the itch that Fields of Blood did -- considering the design talent in the credits -- it was a particular let down. 2) Psionics Handbook (Wizards) -- so uninspiring that it turned me off psionics and killed all interest in even getting the revision. 3) Sorvery and Steam (Fantasy Flight) -- Steam punk...done poorly...bleah 4) Ravenloft campaign setting -- classic setting mauled up....boo... 5) Urban Arcana (Wizards) -- what exactly does this book do that the PHB and d20 modern combined does not? nothing to see here out...
