Hey folks, for those that might not know, @Wizard Tower Games is running a kickstarter for a D20 Delving game. I don't back all that many games (because I don't have time), but I am backing this one and want to boost the signal, for a couple of reasons.
- First, Don's an old school guy and he's got Tim Kask working on this game.
- Secondly, while Don originally gave LaNasa the original Dungeon Crawl boardgame (that LaNasa took orders on and has never shipped), Don completely distanced himself from LaNasa when he went off the bigot rails, and has actively spoken out against LaNasa and the garbage he has brought to the hobby.
- Thirdly, and probably most importantly, is that this is a game that I think can actually be fun to play.
- Fourthly, there are huge risks with KS, especially with boardgames. Don does his own printing and manufacturing, and the game is done. So the risk of not getting what you back is almost nil.
- And fifthly, for my own schadenfreude, LaNasa has absolutely lost his mind when this was announced on KS. Tim Kask AND Don? Two people who Justin has gone after publicly and viciously? He's doing everything he can to sink this and talk smack. So seeing this project succeed just might cause Justin's veins to explode, which would benefit us all in the OSR. The challenge is that this game is not on track to succeed based on current trending. I haven't seen much of it in exposure, so every signal boost will help.
