When an attack must be resolved, just send at the same time your attack roll and the damage done (if the attack misses, the damage is not inflicted). I will do likewise. Dice rolls which are not that important are handled in taking 10 or 20 and usually succeed, unless you have a low skill rank in which case a skill check could be required. </p><p></p><p><strong>2) Rate of Posting:</strong> Once a day is perfect. You can post more just to speak with the other PCs, or you can post less, and so be in a more passive mode. In fact, as this is a starship crew, when players do post infrequently, I will just consider that their characters are busy doing some maintenance, watch, or else on the starship, while the more active posters' PCs are on the real action. In any case, I will check the thread every day, and intervene when I feel it's appropriate. Note that if I have to create a large map, it could take some time before I can post it (but I will say so). Note that if a player is too late to answer, I will consider he was hesitating, was busy doing something else, or what not, so will skip his turn.</p><p></p><p><strong>3) Typical "Gaming Turn":</strong> When a scene is introduced, players reply or don't reply. Depending on circumstances (how many players actually post, etc.) I wait for one or two days before responding. Those who didn't post anything are in a passive mode but are still there. In a combat situation such PCs didn't do anything for whatever reason you may think of. However, the opponents can still harm them. Suppose a player doesn't post for a full week that happens to describe a fight: his PC could die. Of course, players can tell they won't be able to play for some time, and tell their PCs are elsewhere (in the starship for example) securely waiting.</p><p></p><p><strong>4) Combat:</strong> Combat will probably have to be simplified. Careful placement of miniatures on a square grid is impossible, and we don't want to spend a full week for just one combat. Fortunately, use of ranged weapons should greatly helps here. In combat situations players will determine marching order, and possible cover, then combat will be resolved through initiative and attack rolls.
