Just musing about something.
The main problem with using the d20 system to play a historical campaign is how deeply ingrained the magic system is to the core rules. However, d20 modern has removed the magic system. This got me to wondering - how hard would it be to make d20 historical based off of d20 modern?
I mean you'd need different classes, skills and feats to some point.
You would have to take some things into account like hexes could work if the person being hexed believes in it, etc.
But really would it be a fairly simple matter to set d20 modern in the world of ancient rome?
