After you’ve examined the room, you turn your attention to Ms. Bloome. She was never tall, but seems even smaller than you remember when seated in her wheeled chair as it is rather large and bulky. She is very slight but has an intense expression that is a little intimidating. There are several teacups and a pot of herbal tea on one table, and an assortment of sweet-smelling baked goods on another. Most of them are slightly warm to the touch and several have colored sugar sprinkled on their tops. Ms. Bloome is very orderly in appearance. Her wheeled chair is made almost entirely of copper rods – each of which shines brightly. Her shoes are black and just as shiny as her chair. Her blue shirt is precisely buttoned and her tan skirt lies in even folds across her lap and drapes itself artfully over her legs, leaving just the tips of her shoes showing. Her hair seems to be the only unruly thing about her; it tumbles to her shoulders in a riot of dark brown curls – with just a hint of white at the temples. Eliza smiles as Finneas remarks on her collection. “Honey has been with me for some time, her mother and older sister also work for the family. My husband, Reginald, God rest his soul, found them scavenging at some ruins about a week’s ride east of here. They’d been kicked out of their village after Honey’s birth… some of those back-water villages have the strangest superstitions.” If she is startled by the abrupt appearance of Field Marshal Erwin von Dustindorf she does not show it, in fact she seems to have been expecting him as she places her teacup on the table and leans over to put a small bowl of water on the floor, just in front of Erwin’s nose. She has a distant look to them for a moment, and she shakes her head slightly. “Woolgathering again,” she smiles wistfully and allows her eyes to wander over the group. When her eyes fall on Gen they widen slightly, “Come and get some food child, and leave that weapon alone – no harm will come to you in my home.” Her voice manages to be both stern and gentle at the same time, and she gestures to the tray of cookies. “Please help yourselves. If any of you wish to join me after our meeting,” she glances at Father William with a smile, well aware of his reputation for enjoying a well-cooked meal, “there is indeed a roast waiting.” edit: spelling
