Slight change. If you're intersetd in writing read the guidelines (below) and send an e-mail to first_wizard@hotmail.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thanks to everyone for responding so quickly! It's great to see so many people willing to share their work with the fan community. The first issue will be completely open submission. Anything you want to write about, anything at all, will be included. Characters, organizations, advanced classes, talents, feats, skill uses, new rules, variations on old rules, vehicles, FX, fan fiction, anything goes! This first issue is intended to serve as a guideline: find out what people want to write about and gauge reactions from the audience. In the future I will try and coordinate themes, assignments (essentially an e-mail saying "Who wants to write this?"), etc. Now the boring stuff: -The OGL will accompany the fanzine. Anything you write, with the exception of fan fiction, will be open gaming content unless you specify otherwise. -Make sure to add a copyright to the beginning of your article. Just because it's open gaming content doesn't mean you don't own it. If someone reproduces it you should get credit. -If you use other open gaming content please try to credit the source (and be sure it IS open gaming content.) -All mechanics should be laid out in the same format as the d20 Modern core book. -All articles should be checked for spelling and punctuation before submission. One or two mistakes are acceptable. typink like u r in 3 gdare iz not acceptable. ne1 w40 7r135 7yp1ng 1n l337 will be asked to leave. I am working part time while maintaining a high GPA as a university student. I don't have time to correct your laziness. If you don't respect your work enough to make it presentable why should I? -All articles should be sent to this e-mail address as an attached .rtf file. -I will review each article for content before submission. If I think changes are necessary I will inform you and ask your permission before instituting said changes. -Please limit yourself to two articles. Each article may be up to 1500 words, with the exception of fan fiction, which may be up to 5000 words. -When writing fan fiction do not use any copyrighted names, places, characters, etc. This includes the sample campaign settings presented in the core book, Spycraft, etc. -The working name for this fanzine is "Modern Living." If anyone has another suggestion e-mail the list. -My goal is to send out an issue the first of every month. Obviously we're not going to make March 1st but I'd like to get it out as soon as possible. -HAVE FUN!!!! P.S. If anyone has suggestions for future themes please e-mail them to me. I'm currently thinking the old west, police thrillers, near-future, science fiction, and cybernetics.
