He grew up on the strip and he knows every angle, con, scam and racket that mankind has ever come up with. Despite this upbringing, "Lucky" is a genuinely nice guy. He has an altruistic streak that gets him into more trouble than his gambling.</p><p></p><p> Two years ago, Lucky defeated Johnnie Chan and Eric Seidel to become the World Series of Poker Champion. His prize, $1 million in cold hard cash (about $550k after Uncle Sam had his way.) Lucky blew it all in 3 months. He threw a party the likes of which Las Vegas has never seen, and they've seen it all. He then gave away his last $50k to a woman who needed a rare operation for her 5 year old son. Lucky hates to see children suffer more than anything, except for maybe punks who splash the pot, he really hates that! Now all he has left is his gold bracelet and rep to live up to.</p><p></p><p> Unfortunately for Lucky, he neglected to repay his 'business partners' for the stake they gave him to enter the poker tournament. Lucky still has some credit and markers he can call in, but the men he borrowed money from don't take bank cards and they don't give extensions. Lucky thought the wisest course of action would be to take the first flight out of Nevada that crossed several dozen time zones before setting down.
