During his day job, he wears the standard white-collar business suit; off duty, or while working at a club, he wears a black leather jacket, blue jeans, and a t-shirt. His hair is short and brown, his eyes blue and flinty. He's in his early 30's.</p><p></p><p>Personality: Richard is quiet and selectively stubborn. If something is amenable to him, he'll quietly go along with it. If he sets his mind for, or against, something, you'll have an easier time bending a horseshoe than changing his course of action. This tends as often as not to end well, as the things he sets his mind to are rarely dangerous enough to seriously injure him. That's the other thing- he's tough, and he knows it, and so he easily takes risks that other's wouldn't.</p><p></p><p>Backround: Richard's parents were middle-class Europeans (from England, specifically) who are second-generation Al Amarjans. His parents were both businesspeople, with differnt specializations and in different companies, and Richard grew up in a comfortable and boring existance.</p><p></p><p>He was never paticularly bright, but through the intellectual equivalent of brute force he managed to slug his way into a degree in accounting. He settled in at a large firm in the Golden Barrio, and was ready to live out his life as a coporate drone. Then, during a doctors appointment, they found something odd. A week and several batteries of tests later, Richard was diagnosed with a rare terminal illness. All that the doctors knew about it was that when the end came, it would be sudden, and they didn't know when the end was coming.</p><p></p><p>Richard thought long and hard about his life after the discovery. And then he went in to the worst part of town and picked a fight.</p><p></p><p>It was the best expierince in his life so far, and what's more, he won. Or at least, he was concious by the time the police showed up to haul him off, which was more than you could say for most of the people in the bar. After several goes at this, he decided, in his slow, logical way, to be more efficient about his fights, and got a gig at Sad Mary's Bar and Grill, working as a bouncer and prizefighter. He's gained a reputation as a very steady fellow, and willing to lend a hand, or a fist, or an elbow, to one in need.</p><p></p><p>edit: could someone check my hitpoints for me?
