d20 Neon Genesis Evangelion

We would have to use the series as source material and ignore some of the plot (as was stated eariler, Eva is pretty self contained story wise). Each character would be linked to an Eva, though it may be possible to pilot other Evas. Then there is the issue of classes, should it have classes or be classless? Also there is the issue of what the character can do vs what the character can do while piloting the Eva. For example, I can see one character being a martial arts expert and can use those martial arts when controling an Eva. Whereas another character may be able to use martial arts while controling an Eva, but be a complete wimp as a person. There probably will need to be a Synch skill or something to activate your Eva and keep it from going berserk.

Should the characters be 14 year olds? This could create an interesting spin in the game as they would likely have some ability penalties and would live in a world run by adults. Also the world would not be limited by the number of Angels there are. So every once and awhile an Angel will attack and the characters pilot their Evas. But there would also be government mysteries and stuff for the characters themselves to deal with.

This is going to take a lot of thought :)

Eva d20 and The Movies

Have any of you actually ever seen the movies? They almost (almost, mind you) make Eva make sense the first time you see them. After about the fourth time you see them, go to this site.

http://www.evaotaku.com

Look through that, read the pages. Then tell me if it doesn't start to gel together. As far as Evangelion d20... Eva 01 at the end of the movie could kick Azathoth's ass from here to Neptune!

SPOILER ALARM!!!

And it would only be possible to pilot more than one Eva under special circumstances... like having |V0 r3@l 50Ul... (run that through a 1337 translator if you want the truth of Rei... more or less.)

Yes I have seen End of Evangelion. It's pretty messed up :) but it does make more sense than the TV ep 25-26. Of course, as I said before, a game based on Eva would use it as source material but could not take place in the same "world" because the show has specific events happen to specific characters.
