I do read the reviews and use them as a basis as to whether or not I will buy a product. It is not the sole determinant by any means.Generally I will flip through an item at the game store and if I decide I don't want it or decide it is not right for me I leave it there. But then I will look for reviews on the site to see what is said about it. I have had the reviews change my mind about a product, and so far I have been pleased with this. The only products that I have purchased sight unseen have been PDF products that were reviewed. I am batting .750 on that. One of the four products I purchased was much worse than the review stated and much worse than what I was expecting. I think that is a better average than what I am batting in store. So I have been pleased. I have also rejected buying items because of a review. Often these reviews are positive reviews (3 and higher) because of what is said about them. The emphasis that is put on what is good about the item tells me the strong points and if I do not agree that I like them, then I know to skip it because that is the best that the item has to offer. So I have appreciated the reviews and while I do not take them at face value, I still think they have been helpful. Even the ones that are obviously gushing (or harsh) tell me something about the product I could not get at the store.</blockquote>
