D20 Traveller-Species of the Third Imperium

I was very surprised by the choices of which species were included as PCs in T20. Might I ask, when/if we will be a source book with other known Traveller species? I'm eager to set up a new campaign as I think T20 is absolutely excellent, but none of my players want to be talking bears for example.
Darrians, Vegans, Ael Yael...these are just a few of the cool aliens Traveller has in it's arsenal of interesting e.t.s.

Any chance for a species/alien book in the near future? If not...how about a peak at the stats for Darrians and Vegans at least

The races used in the main book represent the most common Traveller major races and the races native to the first campaign setting that will be released in Jan.

Some of the other races will get treatments in forthcoming material, and a specific 'alien races' book is likely.

Please produce the "Alien Races" book sooner then later. As an SF-RPG GM of many, many...many years, I'm always disappointed by how long it takes for companies to produce such books. For example, none of the Star Trek RPGs of recent years can seem to get out these books before they loose the license.

I have a large group with a lot of players. Half are old school Traveller fans, the other half know nothing about Traveller. All thought the bear people were silly. At least the Vargr and Aslan have years of background material to take the edge off the "a race of Dog People, a Race of Cat People, a Race of Bird People, a Race of Possum People" problem that caused many of my friends to shun Traveller back in the day. With a large group of players used to diverse species choices (D&D, Star Wars, Star Trek, Homebrew), it makes the character creation part a bitter of a harder sell.

Also, do bear in midn that the information from other Traveller incarnations (CT {Aliens modules reprint due in the next year I believe}, MT, TNE, T4 and G:T) is all usueable in T20. Rules for the races not covered would obviously have to be adapted / homebrewed, but with the Vargr already covered in T20, you have a good baseline for comparisons.
