[QUOTE="RoughCoronet0, post: 9159617, member: 7031665"] Here we are at lucky number seven for my deity showcase, and this one is the big daddy of them all. Serpent of the Cycle. Guardian of the Boundless. Keeper of the Wellspring of Souls. The Purifying River. He Who Sundered the Heavens. These titles and many others have been given throughout the eons to the great Overdeity of Salvera. Letheus is the greater god of Life, Death, Reincarnation, Passing, Souls, and Memories. Letheus is a being who’s size surpasses even the World Serpent, with a head at each end of his long body. One head is little more then a skull bathed in ghostly green energy, mouth always open as every breath draws in the souls of the recently departed, those who weren’t bound to one of the deities of Salvera in life. These souls will then travel through the body, which transitions from skeleton to flesh and scale, ending at the head of a beautiful, pure white snake with ghostly blue eyes. With every exhale, the now purified souls return to Salvera to begin life anew. The serpent god resides within the Wellspring of Souls itself, an artifact from the dawn of existence which the original Creator Deities first used to forge the souls of every one of their creations. Looking like a massive body of ghostly green water, the Wellspring’s contents are that of the fundamental building blocks of souls. In an act of fury and defiance again the Creator Deities at the tail end of the Great Creator War (the war between the Primordial and Gods during the Age of Creation) when they decided to abandon the broken world that was fought over and all of their creations save for the most fervor, Letheus sundered the Wellspring from the very heart of the Creator’s realms within the Astral Sea. This caused Wellspring to fall to the Material Plane, before later being taken into the Ethereal where Letheus created a new plane to house it, The Mausoleum of Memories. There he remains, ensuring that the Cycle of life and Death continues. (Also incase anyone was curious, this was what I was fighting DALL-E over in regards to making something more snake and less dragon). So, lets start with the Skeletal head.
