The ability to damage of different types was always a favorite aspect of RPGs. The idea that some enemies and obstacles were resistant to one type, vulnerable to another, or even immune or destoyed by others was great. But it was not all happiness and smiles.
Damage type tiers, I never liked them. I understand that resistances, vulnerabilities, and immunities would match up in equal amounts for each type. There should be some more fairness going around. When most of the resistances/immunities go to one type, it can get annoying if there isn't some kind of way to make up for it.
Sometimes you just want your character to burn things, a lot, all the time.
