I enjoyed both films, but I think that Daredevil captures the feel of the source material much, much better than Hulk. Daredevil was clearly made by fans for fans, whereas the folks that made Hulk didn't quite get it. Stuff I liked: The 'real guy getting constantly bashed' aspect of Daredevil. Colin Farrell as Bullseye--He had a blast playing him and you could tell. The shot for shot adaptation of the fight between Elektra & Bullseye--it exactly matches the Frank Miller comic, right down to the "You're good, babe, I'll give you that... but me? I'm MAGIC!" line. The weird effects used to portray DD's hyper senses. In Hulk, the comic style editing--I know it bothered some people, but I loved it! If only it had been used in a movie that was comfortable in styling itself like a comic book... The sheer power of the Hulk. This wasn't just Lou Ferrigno tossing some thugs into a dumpster or tipping over a car. This was the Hulk that I grew up reading about in comics. I loved how bullets indented his skin before bouncing off, how he could smash tanks, and how he could leap for miles a pop. Stuff that could've used work (that other people haven't mentioned yet): The ending of Daredevil. The fight with Kingpin really did feel kind of tacked on and I felt that DD won a little too easily. No Rick Jones in Hulk! Why? Why ditch Rick? I did not get that at all. I was hoping that the Hulk would have a bit more of his own personality. In the comics, the Hulk was able to speak and had a personality all his own. I would've liked for him to interact with someone (Rick Jones, perferably) so that we could see that he wasn't just a monster. Also, I wanted to see the Hulk be a hero. Aside from jumping on the jet to keep it from crashing into the bridge he never really helps anyone. I would've preferred to see the plane hit the bridge and then have Hulk save people while being hounded by the military. The supervillain at the end of Hulk--why the heck was it the Absorbing Man? I mean, sure the Absorbing Man has fought the Hulk plenty of times in the comics, but he's more of a Thor bad guy than any other hero's. It was kind of like if they used the Red Skull as the main bad guy in the Spider-Man movie instead of the Green Goblin. When I saw Nolte's skin going all 'star-fishy' I thought, "All right! He's gonna turn into the Abomination! This could be awesome!" and then he started turning blue and metallic... Huh? Didn't care for their weirdo, giant green bubble end fight either. The Gamma Poodle. Who, when they were making the movie, actually thought that the gamma poodle would be cool? I cannot believe that anybody did, so how did it wind up in the finished film? Amazing...
