Apparently the Call of Cthulhu game will be getting made after all. There was a pretty hefty demo at E3, detailed here:

I can't even remember how long I've been waiting for this to come out. Especially after how disappointed I was with Alone in the Dark 4. From the sounds of things, it'll either reset the bar in horror games, or be completely impossible to play. But I'm really hoping they pull it off.

Me too. I've also been keeping an eye on this one, since the last E3, I think. Interestingly enough, they've announced two additional Cthulhu titles as well: Beyond the Mountains of Madness for PC, and Tainted Legacy for PS2 (supposing, I guess, that DCotE does well).
