Dark Jedi Campaign

While discussing a futuristic campaign with my comrades, we decided to start a Star Wars campaign. The only problem I have is that I'm sick of the party always being goody-two-shoes, and I think they are too! So, my plan is to run a Dark Side Campaign. I will come up with each of the characters backgrounds, and their first level class, then they can fill in the they're own scores, feats, skills, etc..
Anyway, should I treat Dark Side points like force points for Sith characters? Otherwise I see them wracking up way to many points. Thoughts, ideas?

Dark side points != force points!

Dark side people gain and use force points in just the same way as normal

Dark Side Points are a convenient way of measuring just how bad someone has become. Once they equal half your Wis, some things get easier, others get harder. Once they equal (or exceed?) your Wis, you are "lost to the dark side".

I recommend that you use things as they stand, encouraging dark side stuff, but to give the campaign some "bite" state that if they go too far "over the edge" then they are lost to the dark side - thus it would be a campaign where they are not using their dark-side force lightning and other stuff willy-nilly, but husbanding it for when it is really necessary... the kind of thing you see in the films, actually :)

I agree with Plance Sailing, You need a control "device" I think their master could keep them in check. He will always be more powerful. Then if the PCs get out of control then you have something in game terms to put them in place.
