Dark Sun 4e game?

I suppose if we got 4 or 5 players who each have the DSCS, I would strongly consider starting something. Remember, the Dark Sun stuff isn't going to be in DDI until next month!

One idea I had to sort of speed things up is to create some pre-gens and let people pick one of them. That would obviate the need for people to have the DSCS and also speed up the start of the game. It would also eliminate rules questions (what is allowed, etc) and I wouldn't need to check characters over for legality and accuracy.

The downside, of course, is that lack of customization, but I suppose people could name them, give them a back story, and so forth without my input.

Would this idea prevent people from being interested in playing? Would a selection of say, 12 pre-gens matter?

Can't do pre-gens, nossir.

It'd be like eating a cake made with fine ground quartz instead of sugar. Which, if you haven't tried it, is pretty bad...going in -and- coming out. It's just bad news. Don't do it.

Don't mind Shayuri, she's wierd. :D

As for myself, i hate, no scratch that, i utterly despise 4e, but Darksun might just make it bearable. As for pregens, i dont mind much, as long as there's either a half-giant or thri-kreen i can play around with.

I would prefer if everyone could choose theme, race and class (build?) and the DM does the rest. With standard point allocation. And a rolled up wild talent.

Yeah what would be created would be the mechanical stuff that you might not have access to if you don't own the DSCS. Not sure if this is the route I would take... and maybe what you would pick is from just race/class/theme and then you could make the rest yourself. I'm just not entirely certain yet.

On second thought, it's probably less work for me to have you guys just do it the ole fashioned way, so never mind all that.
