That was my thought too. But then there is more than one place in the books where it states that Roalnd looks a lot like Clint.Richards said:

Hmmm never would have imagined the cover to look that way. Not really disappointed though because I had no real expectations for the cover.
Ever notice how some of the greatest books in history (especially fantasy books) have some of the worst covers? (If they even have an illustration on the cover at all)
Still, the tower in the background... if that is indeed The Dark Tower then it really hasn't lived up to the hype
I'm sure the book itself will be everything I wanted though. Illustrations of it in previous installments were much more dramatic.
