Ohhh, that is soooo sweet. I'd kill for an Alien movie that ignored Alien 3 and Alien 4.

The last I heard, it was unclear whether it was a remake or not, but I think it would be a damn shame to remake it. The first movie still holds up and is a classic. The sequels, not quite so much (especially the recent Sci-Fi Channel Robocop movie... ugh).

I seem to recall the TV series not being all that bad, though.

Alien 3 is under-rated in my opinion, and a perfect dark ending to the series.

Sorry for the hijack. . . As for a Robocop sequel/reimagining that ignores #2 and 3 - well, "I'd buy that for a dollar!"

Alien 4 is under-rated in my opinion - it might not be a "real" alien movie, but I had a lot of fun watching it and would do so again.
