The Van Halen Principle - Humor So you are gonna approach the girl and ask for her home phone number- everything is riding on your confidence and attitude. You need to approach like you cannot be hurt. When you have the number, walk away. Its over until a week later when you call. If she rejects you, walk away its over. Here is where Van Halen comes in. Make a CD with the following songs: Eruption you really Got Me Panama Unchained Hot For Teacher Ain't Talkin Bout Love Jump Beautiful Girls Everybody Wants Some!! Best of Both Worlds* Runaround* Poundcake* Right Now* Top of the World* *These are the only permitted Hagar songs. Most of the hagar stuff is far too sappy for confidence building/recovery What this CD does is it put you in the right frame of mind. What frame of mind is this? Its the frame of mind that brings out your confidence and laid back attitude. Both are needed to ask the question with any hope of sucess, the second to deal with rejections and to retain the ability to leave if there is yes (besides if it a yes, what better music to listen to after a girl said yes). If you listen to David Lee Roth, thats the attitude he infuses into most every song he does. Sammy is a great singer, but there is a little too much hurt in many of the songs he did. Listen to it on the way to the event, listen to it going away. This is largely for ammusment, but hey it couldn't hurt.
