Yeah, I thought this was a pretty decent read as well. My main problem was that it seems to be stretching further and further out. As you get deeper into the series some very large events seem to happen (Don't want to give them away) but they are sort of undone. (Don't read further to avoid spoilers.

Specifically, Raj Ahten's removal of his own personal endowments, and subsequent conversion to a sort of bizarre undead. Why didn't he just die? Much too like Jordan's killing of Ishamael (Spelling?) and bringing him back, and or Asmodean and the guy who's name started with B as Osan'Gar and Aran'Gar. He's just going to be around forever. Why? Why doesn't the plot move forward? How does this fit in with his avowed intention to see the world united to kill the Reapers?
I think the Runelords series is just going to go on and on, like WoT. Which is actually a shame, since the concept of endowments is actually pretty cool. I like the sort of ethical dilemma brought up by it as well - is it evil to take endowments? Kind of interesting - and I'd say yes. Anyway, my two cents.
