Lesse; in the Dawnforge game that I'm gearing up to run, I've got a group of 4: A Dawn Elf Fighter(the weirdest elven fighter ever, at least in one of my games; never seen an elf fight with flail and shield and wear breastplate armor!). A Night Elf Swashbuckler/Sorcerer(CN charming rogue type; I like to think of Captain Jack Sparrow). A Lowlander Ranger(your classic Hero of Destiny type; found a magical sword, has to leave his village to keep his friends safe from the danger that will follow him). And a Halfling Bard(the reluctant hero; he'd rather stay at home and play his guitar[which he also uses as a weapon], but SOMEBODY's gotta chronicle this adventure!). Pretty cool; I like having the non-standard parties, y'know? They're gonna have to use their heads more than if they had a wizard for artillery and a disciple or a shaper as a healer; I foresee a lot of money dropped on Barrels of healing potions and Heal Sticks for the Bard and the Ranger, and I've never heard of an Elven Tank before, so it should be interesting. Other than that, I love the classic fantasy archetypes for Dawnforge; the gruff dwarf, the haughty elf, the young knight full of wonderment at the wide world around him, the wizened sage, etc.
