We're running a contest at Fantasy Flight Games for all you Dawnforge fans out there. Actually, two contests . . . one for the creative storytelling types, one for the number-crunching creature design types. If you're both, bully for you, you get two contests! You can go directly to http://www.fantasyflightgames.com for more info, or continue to read below. The first contest is called "Looking for a few good gods." The gist is, give us the stat block and description for any immortal mentioned in the Dawnforge core rulebook but that is not statted out in chapter three. Some options would be Rotoqua the Giving (of the yuan-ti), The Spirit of the First Tree (of the dawn elves), Turzak (of the Icehammer Front), Thron the Night Master (of the Giants), or the Green Man, Lady of Flowers, or Harvester (of the Lowlanders of Ambria). There are bunches of others hidden throughout the core book. All runners up will have their stats posted on our website, and the winner will recieve a professionally printed 24" x 36" color map of the world of Eadar, location of the Dawnforge setting. The second contest is a zany "Choose your own adventure" sort of thing. We've begun a story seed on our website, now it's up to you to finish it. The first week we'll publish the two best entries, which will take the story in two different directions. Each week thereafter, we'll continue the two stories with the best entries, taking each story to completion with a combined effort of the fans. Each story segment should be 500-800 words. The reward for this one? Fame, of course, and getting to contribute to an epic tale. Good luck!
