D&D 4E Dawnforge influences in 4E?

I've just had a chance for a quick browse through the Dawnforge campaign setting.

In the races chapter, there seem to be some striking similarities with what we've heard of 4E: character gain significant racial abilities from 1st-10th (multiple +2 stat boosts, upgrading SR 5 + level to 10 + level and then 15 + level, the ability to use select 0-2nd spell-likes, DR...); tieflings as a PC race; tieflings as (once) rulers of an empire...

Can someone more familiar with the setting comment?

Not familiar with the setting, but D&D has been doing this for a while now... We had variant racial levels already.

I noticed the exact same similarities, browsing the Dawnforge website. I took it as evidence that *everything* looks like 4e if you squint enough.

I saw the same similarities. In fact, 4e looks a lot more like Dawnforge than any other existing setting. Running a Dawnforge campaign in 4e will probably be a piece of cake.

Cheers,
Cam
