LaForce) at Gen Con by Doug Kovacs, so I do think that's who we're talking about. Diesel said he signed some of his early work with just the initial D., but that when Jeff Dee joined the TSR staff this caused confusion. Diesel tried to argue he'd done it first, but Jeff's "it's my last name, dude!" won the day. Diesel is the most important TSR artist I didn't know anything about, basically because I assumed his work was Jeff Dee's; some of his most memorable images from me are the <a href="http://muleabides.wordpress.com/2010/11/18/dungeons-and-dragons-in-non-contemporary-art/" target="_blank">Lichtenstein-like</a> carrion crawler and skeletons from the Moldvay red box.</blockquote>
