But 4E will definitely NOT be a focus of the magazine; it will be just one of the other games we cover.The MSRP is high ($12), but that is because the rate is based on *zero* paid advertising, which is what causes no end of grief in publishing. Advertising is down across the board in all forms of print, and RPG advertising is dead. So in order to develop a viable business plan, I based sales on *no* advertising.The first issue will be 48 pages, and as there are only two ads (one for our subscription, one for our other products), tghe cover, a ToC, and the OGL/licenses page... that's a full 43 pages of articles.Also, the subscription rate (varies depending on the length of the subscription) is similar to the classic Judges Guild Guildmembership. Every issue the subscriber also gets a 32-page Campaign Installment, which to begin with will focus on the Wilderlands of High Adventure.
