*sigh* I hate seeing posts like this. There isn't any build (outside of super high level Wizards that break the game) that can't be overcome without a modicrum amount of creativity. Off the top of my head: 1. Heat Metal. Doesn't care about AC, in fact in punishes it. Have some Fire Mephits flying around that he can't hit as they cast the spell and dart away. 2. Phantasmal Force. Int save, which means at best the initial save is +3/4. After he fails that save, it becomes an Int check, which means no bonus from his aura. From a sufficiently high level caster, it will be almost impossible to make. Get creative with your illusions and watch him whimper. 3. Illusions of any kind. His Int (Investigation) will be garbage. So create the image of the BBEG, Paladin charges in swinging and blows his big smites. After his turn, describe that his blade cuts through the creature as if it wasn't there. Tada, he blew a bunch of resources on nothing vs the cost of a level 1-2 Illusion spell. 4. Stop giving them so damn many long rests. Biggest problem DMs make is handing out long rests like candy. Stop it. Resources attrition is the simplests and most effective way of decreasing the firepower of a class like a Paladin while allowing other classes (Monk, Rogue, Warlock, etc) to still shine. 3. MIND FLAYERS and INTELLECT DEVOURERS. Easily the most fun enemies to throw at Paladins who think they're hot stuff.
