I haven't seen the Abby version, but cards that have powers away from the rest of the deck is a great idea for a campaign, although I always had the deck disappear when players were through drawing from it. King Long Dead divided the deck among his most loyal servants as both a reward for service and as a means of making sure the decks awesomeness was never used for evil, or for taking over his Kingdom. As the years pass, the individual cards pass to others and eventually the characters stumble on a plot to gather them and take over the kingdom again. The new King can be good and his evil Duke is trying to overthrow him, or the King can be evil and the party is working for the group to make good again. I may have to look at these cards again and see if this would work. If some cards are lower in power than others I can have a heroic to Paragon tier campaign. A cool end could tie in at 20th level turning Epic, using the deck to gain epic powers.
