[QUOTE="bloodtide, post: 8938988, member: 6684958"] Well, somehow the AI has to be told stuff. If "programing" is the wrong word it still has to get the information some how. Like it would seem some clueless person gave the AI the 5E Sword Coast book to read, right? That is why the whole Sword Coast is blank between Waterdeep and Baldur's Gate.....just endless miles of blank graph paper, right? And, of course, in 5E the "Sword Coast" is the whole planet of Toril. The part that does stand out to me is "They will need to cross the river by ferry or by a bridge." So, are those the ONLY two ways across the river? If we were playing AI DM, and I said "my character swims across the river", is it just going to go "does not compute!" What if I fly? How about ride across on the back of a giant turtle? "Does not compute!" I'm sure the AI gets asked the same 100 questions, so it gets good at answering those questions.....well, at least to the ones that ask the question. Can the AI read the FR Wiki? Will the AI understand the "everything on the wiki is in the past tense" dumb rule? Will the AI understand the mess of timelines and information on the Wiki? Will the AI understand all the horrible edition changes and the way the Wiki does them? And sure, the FR Wiki is, sadly, "the best" place to go for online Waterdeep information. Still it does not really have all the Waterdeep data....not that any of that old 1/2/3E data matters for the 5E realms anyway. Sure using 2/3 E books there is a TON of information about Waterdeep, but like 99% of that is wasted paper after 5E and centuries and two apoclypses. And it's not like there will EVER be a detailed 5E update for even like 1% of the lore. I'm NOT trying to knock the FR Wiki (that would be a whole thread), I'm trying to point out that any "one" source may not be 100% reliable. Does "pattern recognition" equal Imagination? Like my dog can do "pattern recognition" that "when I walk towards the door I'm going outside" and then run over to join me......but my dog won't be writing a novel any time soon (or playing D&D).
