[QUOTE="jasin, post: 1355533, member: 7531"] "That which yields is not always weak." -- from Jacqueline Carey's _Kushiel's Dart_ In the devastating wars with the chromatic dragons, the elves have learned that sometimes defense is the best offense bla bla a new fighting style bla bla deceptive, fluid movements bla bla inducing enemies to defeat themselves bla bla flavour text to be finished later (but I never do). Requirements: BAB: +6 Skills: bluff 4 ranks, sense motive 4 ranks Feats: Combat Expertise, Combat Reflexes, Defensive Strike, Dodge Hit die: d10 Class Skills The Bending Reed disciple's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Balance (Dex), Bluff (Cha), Craft (Int), Escape Artist (Dex), Jump (Str), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Sense Motive (Wis), Spot (Wis), Swim (Str). Skill Points per level: 4 + Int modifier. 1 +0 +0 +2 +2 Poised to strike 2 +1 +0 +3 +3 Improved defensive strike 3 +2 +1 +3 +3 Evasion 4 +3 +1 +4 +4 Uncanny dodge 5 +3 +1 +4 +4 Greater defensive strike 6 +4 +2 +5 +5 Moving the shadow 7 +5 +2 +5 +5 Opportunist 8 +6 +2 +6 +6 Improved uncanny dodge 9 +6 +3 +6 +6 Defensive roll 10 +7 +3 +7 +7 Agile riposte Poised to strike (Ex): the Bending Reed disciple is always ready to seize on the mistakes of his opponents. He adds +1 per class level to the DC of all checks made by opponents to avoid attacks of opportunity from the disciple, like concentration checks to cast defensively or tumble check for moving through his threatened area. Improved defensive strike (Ex): when using the Defensive Strike feat, the Bending Reed disciple attacks an opponent that has missed him with a +6 bonus, instead of the normal +4. Evasion (Ex): as rogue ability. Uncanny dodge (Ex): as rogue ability. Moving the shadow (Ex): the Bending Reed disciple is trained to take advantage of his opponent's weaknesses. He gains a dodge bonus to his AC equal to the armour check penalty (if any) of the opponent striking him. Greater defensive strike (Ex): the disciple can now use his defensive style without completely forgoing offense. If an opponent attacks and misses a disciple using the Combat Expertise feat, the disciple can attack this opponent on his next turn with a bonus on his attack roll equal to the penalty taken while using Combat Expertise. Opportunist (Ex): Once per round, the Bending Reed disciple can make an attack of opportunity against an opponent who has just been struck for damage in melee by another character. This attack counts as one of the disciple's attacks of opportunity for that round. Improved uncanny dodge (Ex): as rogue ability. Defensive roll (Ex): as rogue ability. Agile riposte (Ex): Once per round, if an opponent that was designated as the disciple's Dodge target attacks and misses him, the disciple can make an immediate attack of opportunity against that opponent, gaining benefits (if any) of his improved defensive strike and greater defensive strike class features, as if it were the disciple's next turn. For example, if an opponent attacks and misses a disciple using Combat Expertise to take a -3 penalty on his attacks and gain a +3 bonus to AC, the disciple can make an attack of opportunity with a +3 bonus on his attack roll.
