It would appear so. OMG, they gave something cool to monks!? Better check the errata to see if someone caught this misprint....

It's not the fact of the coolness for the monks (actually it's a feat, anyone could take it) but to the Archers who can now be stopped by a feat... ok... I grant it it's just an attack but it's one less attack per round :S

Yes, you're reading it right. A number of people have house-ruled it in various ways (such as to require a DC20 Reflex save, as was originally the case).

Stopping 1 arrow per round is hardly overpowering... but having low level monks doing DC20 Reflex saves is a bit too much. Kind of funny that stopping the arrow from a master bowman is the same difficulty as someone who is probably going to hit your foot instead of something vital.

Actually, it's probably easier to block the master bowman's arrow as opposed to the poor shot, because you know the master is gonna shoot you in the heart... *laugh*

Well, it does shut down special attacks from an Arcane Archer. If they decide to enchant an arrow, they only get one shot for the round...
