I think these look absolutely horrible. The Mezzodemon sculpt looks like an original 1970's mini design. I've seen 30 year old Ral Partha minis that look better than this sculpt. It reminds me of what Umber Hulk minis looked like 30 years ago as compared to Umber Hulk minis today (that being the new minis are comparable to the 30 year old versions). And the paint jobs. I think someone else described it best in another thread, the color choices and complete lack of painted highlights and textures make it look like the new line of "Fisher Price Enemies". The colors are abysmal and the lack of any highlights is inexcusable. Like my mom always said, "Do it right, or don't do it at all!". This has got to be the worst set I've seen yet. The standard logic is, when showing previews, show your best stuff. If this is the best the set has to offer, then it's seriously coming up short. If they're going to have any hope of a successful line of individual minis, they are going to have to seriously step up the level of quality. I wouldn't pay $.50 for these minis, let alone $2.00-$4.00 or more for an individual mini. There's just no nice way to say it, these are horribly amateur in sculpt and paint quality. In RPG's WoTC is the 800 lb. gorilla, but they have never been the industry leader in minis. With other companies out there like Reaper minis and the new Ral Partha minis, WoTC better get there :eek::eek::eek: together if they want to keep people interested in their minis line.
