Toss DnD, Pendragon and Harn into a game and set to dice. That is how I think I could best describe this game. There is a good deal of realism here but also enough fantasy to keep it exciting.
The game is fast paced as the rules are very simple. No character sheets for you to keep track of. You will need just a couple of dice to keep on the table. Wear a costume if you like and role play your character. Music helps set the mood and Terrain and Buildings help with the tactical situations.
The world has evolved over the past twenty years to what it is now. The monsters have been sort of cleared out of the populated areas to some extent. The NPC’s now have children and grandchildren. Players have grown old and left their marks on the game. The game is now ready for a new band of hero’s.
I would like to set this game up for Saturday during the day, maybe carrying on a bit into the early evening. There are a couple of the old players and a couple of new players who are interested in starting soon.
For the past three of four years I have been running this game set at TactiCon and Genghis Con with mostly favorable results. If you have run in one of my games or would like to give this a try, let me know. mrkenis@yahoo.com
